We are proud to welcome you to the first National Symposium on English Language Assessment hosted by the British Council Indonesia Foundation. This year’s theme is New Directions for Indonesia. The symposium brings together experts and practitioners to discuss issues arising from current practices in the design and use of English language assessments for students in Indonesia. The symposium also provides insights into English language assessment issues and trends in wider Asia.
Discussions explore themes such as the current challenges in assesing English language, the criteria which needs to be considered when choosing tests to ensure they are fit for purpose and how a globally recognized proficiency framework (CEFR) can benefit assessment, teaching, and curriculum design.
